ATRS – 2004-2005

THE TWO-YEAR SCHEDULE

The American Tanker Rate Schedule is a publication with rates to remain in effect during the years 2004 and 2005. Interim supplemental amendments will be issued during the two-year period and a list of supplemental rates determined during the course of the year 2004 will be issued on January 1, 2005.

Thereafter, revisions will be issued and take effect from January 1st of the particular years, reflecting changes in bunker prices and port costs.

ATRS – 2004/5 incorporates the following prototype ship; a vessel representative of the tonnage that is now used, and that which is expected to reflect the most frequently used American Flag tanker in years to come.

The particulars of the vessel that will make up the Basis of Calculation are as follows:

• Summer Deadweight: 46,069 LT
• Summer draft laden in salt water: 40 feet
• Gross Registered Tons: 30,415 LT
• Net Registered Tons: 11,125 LT
• LOA: 600 feet
• Beam: 105 feet
• Panama Canal Net Tonnage: 25,239 LT
• Suez Canal Net Tonnage: 27,569 LT
• Average Service Speed: 14 Knots
• Bunker consumption at Sea: 32 tons per day IFO 380
• Bunker consumption in Port: 14 tons per day MDO
• Bunker C Allowance for stores/spare bunkers: 400 long tons Daily
• Hire: $18,000 per day
