| Q.
What are the advantages of distance learning? |
| |
Many
industry professionals seek continuing education but lack the necessary
time to participate in seminars or graduate level courses available
through local Maritime Colleges. Distance Learning allows the student
to learn as their schedule permits. The instructor is a learning facilitator
in this process. Learning is through a collaborative effort, students
learn from the instructor as well as one another. Modern studies have
shown that distance learning can be even more effective environment
than the traditional classroom.
